This was the 35th of 36 races in the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the final race of the Round of 8. Denny Hamlin also won the first stage in this race and led the most laps with 143. Kyle Busch won the pole position with a time of 25.693 and Joey Logano finish first in Stage 2. With the win, Hamlin moved up to first place in the 2019 standings, with Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch making up the Championship 4 drivers.
