Kevin Harvick earned his 50th win in the real Heroes 400 at Darlington. At the time of his victory, he was the only driver to finish in the top ten in every one of the five races that had been held at that time. At first Alex Bowman had held the lead early in the race, but finished in second, followed by Kurt Busch Chase Elliot and Denny Hamlin. Harvick took over the front of the pack in stage three. Due to the the regulations, fans weren't present in the stands, and track staff was very limited. NASCAR still was able to make its comeback, and a strong one, regardless of the rule changes.
