Denny Hamlin managed to hold off Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, and Martin Truex Jr. in the Super Start Batteries 400 at the Kansas Speedway. Hamlin led the race four times for 57 laps. It was a shaky restart on lap 246, Hamlin was able to make a move to pass Harvick for the lead on the 255th lap, and held off a late charge from Keselowski. Harvick's car was too loose to take Hamlin. Within 8 laps, Hamlin made the pass for the win, which was his series best fifth victory of the season, his third win at Kansas, and the 42nd victory of his career.
