2005 Indianapolis 500 - Full Race
The 89th Indianapolis 500 was won by British IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon of team Andretti Autosport. Rookie Danica Patrick led three separate times for a total of nineteen laps, becoming the first woman to ever lead the race. Patrick was leading with seven laps to go when Wheldon pulled ahead for the final time, crossing the finish line under caution. Vito Meira of Rahal-Letterman Racing finished second.
