No. 17 driver Matt Kenseth of Rousch Fenway Racing won the 54th running of the Daytona 500. Rain delays pushed this race back an entire day and the race was stopped for over two hours when Juan Pablo Montoya hit a jet dryer on lap 160 and his car caught on fire.
